The Transparency Act

Explanation of the due diligence assessment

First House opposes any form of violation of human rights and decent working conditions in our supply chain and with our partners. First House works to ensure accountability in our operations when providing services and is obliged to comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Transparency Act. The purpose of the Act is to promote businesses' respect for basic human rights and decent working conditions.

Organization

First House is a business that provides advisory services. The management of First House is responsible for risk assessments in the business. The board of First House has adopted a process for the Transparency Act and given the general manager responsibility for compliance with it.

Routines and guidelines

First House is a member of the UN Global Compact, which obliges the business to comply with 10 principles in human rights, labour, the external environment and anti-corruption in strategies and action plans. The relevant guidelines are laid down in internal management documents. The starting point for the due diligence assessment is a risk-based approach which involves identifying risks and starting where the risk is greatest. In the spring of 2024, an overall due diligence assessment was completed in line with the requirements of the Transparency Act using a method based on ISO Standard 31000 for risk management. The overall risk analysis will be reviewed regularly and updated with new information if necessary. The results will be published yearly in our annual report.

Findings and measures

The due diligence assessment was carried out for our own business as well as suppliers and partners who are used to deliver our goods and services. First House has mapped and assessed actual and possible negative consequences for basic human rights and decent working conditions. No actual negative consequences were uncovered in the survey. When prioritizing the risk of uncertainties, First House highlighted relationships with suppliers as the area with the greatest risk of possible breaches. Concrete measures have been identified to manage this risk. It includes a survey of the supply chain and dialogue with suppliers to obtain information on the subject. Clear expectations of suppliers and partners on the subject are also important in this context.

The measures will support First House's work to update guidelines and routines related to the due diligence assessment and work up to partners to ensure that we always have a high professional and ethical standard in our services at all stages.
