Oda has experience from Norwegian politics and is a former leader of Unge Høyre, the youth wing of the Conservative Party. She has also worked as a political adviser in Unge Høyre and for the City Commissioner for Child Welfare, Social Services and Diversity in Bergen.

Oda holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). During her studies, she worked for the Conservative Party's parliamentary group and completed an internship at Merck in Germany.
