When the Oslo City Council decided that it would conduct a referendum on hosting the Olympics in Oslo in 2022, the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (Norges Idrettsforbund, NIF) conducted extensive work to ensure that a majority would vote in favour. First House was NIF's external main adviser in this process. The commitment involved the design of analyses, strategies and messages, and the prioritising of target groups. Moreover, First House assisted in mobilising elected representatives, involving allies and designing advertising campaigns. The collaboration also involved media advice and assistance for writing feature columns and letters to editors.

Ahead of the election, opinion polls showed a definite majority against. The polling result gave a majority of 55.1 percent in favour of Oslo hosting the Olympics, while 44.9 percent voted against. Voter turnout was at 68 percent, and 323 338 votes were cast.

Since 2012, First House has had a framework agreement with the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF). First House has assisted and assists NIF when needed with work related to, among other things, presentations in connection with international service missions, analyses/reports and, media and marketing. In recent times, First House assisted NIF in its work related to positioning and engagement in connection with mobilization and focusing on young enthusiasts.
